Arlington is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Arlington is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

FARENA is a great restaurant except for their service!! Unfortunately, our waitress didn’t have a smile on her face when she was serving us. I ordered the blackberry smash mocktail and my brother got a Sprite. The dishes that we ordered were the Caesar salad, burrata and peach salad, Cacio E Pepe, Margherita Pizza, Lumache rigate, and the aged acquerello risotto. The restaurant was empty due to a rangers game.

We visited here after waiting in line for BTS merchandise for almost 3 hours. A couple of us in the party were beginning to feel the signs of heat stroke so we visited here to escape the heat. They welcomed us immediately and sat us down. Amanda was our server and she knew exactly that we needed. She brought us iced water right away. Everything from the service to the atmosphere and ambience to the food was top-notch. I started the meal with an espresso martini and some fried calamari and mozzarella sticks. A lot of us got salads just to cool down and one other person got the pizza lunch special. The Caesar salad was perfectly made. The additional salmon that we added was perfectly seared. The skin was crispy, but not burnt and the salmon was cooked to a medium temperature. The peach and burrata salad were ordered by two of us: one with grilled chicken one with grilled shrimp. This hit the spot, especially on such a hot day in Texas. We ended the meal with a perfectly-done tiramisu. The mascarpone was silky and smooth, and the ladyfingers were soaked just to the right amount. I also love their bathroom set up. Each unisex stall has its own toilet and sink. Overall, this was such a

After a long week, I decided to dine at Farena. I arrived at Farena and was greeted by a rude valet worker who flipped me off and wouldn’t let me through for about five minutes. I tried explaining that I had a reservation, but he wasn’t understanding and demanded I pay $20 to get through to the valet. I’ve never had to prepay for valet. I tried to pay using card but he said it had to be in cash. After I paid the rude worker, he finally let me through. Despite having a reservation, I was seated right at the entrance with the walk-in guests. I asked if I could be seated somewhere quieter, and they moved me to the patio. After I was seated, I was given a glass of water. The server walked past me multiple times without acknowledging me. Guests who were seated after me had their orders taken and even received their food before anyone came to my table. The patio also had guests without shirts or shoes, which surprised me. After waiting about 30 minutes without anyone taking my order, and after unsuccessfully trying to flag someone down, I had enough. I went back to the host stand and asked to be reseated. They moved me back inside, where I was again seated right at the entrance. I or

You judge: is this extra crispy bacon? Should a $40 brunch include pancakes or waffles or toast? When you ask for your egg over easy at the omelette station after at 10+ minute wait, should the chef be able to understand your request?

My colleagues and I were staying at the Loews for a conference and dined at Farena for dinner our first night and returned for a drink by the fire pits on our second night. Overall, a really great experience. The restaurant is expansive (understandable given the hotel size and location), but does a nice job of carving out areas. Dinner was very solid β€” we had the bruschetta (excellent) and octopus (wouldn’t order again) as apps, with the Beet Salad, Vodka Rigate, Roasted Chicken, and Broccolini -as shared mains. All very well prepared and very tasty. On our 2nd night, it was a little hard to get service on the patio (Tbf, we came in a side door), but once we did it was excellent. Shoutout to Emily for warm hospitality with a personal touch πŸ‘. For management, room for improvement is to better monitor the patio and keep lighting consistent to maintain an evening vibe
